Night falls on my city,
Small and gently felt,
an easy, breezy calm,
a picture man has built.
Majestic wondowed eyes
are undaunted without sun,
they only seemed unsquinted,
relaxed as the day is done.
The sidewalk looks like a skin
a moistured from a burn,
eased, smoothed, and relieved,
at peace as my feet turn.
Green leafed trees wave
and twinkle, now they are asleep,
hover, and from time to time,
before my eeys they creep.
The light will rise again,
tommorrow, yes right here,
but will I see a night like this again,
is all I have to fear.
Cool moon mellows my soul,
I will hold fast the day is near.
