playing with a clever ball,

so that it would never fall,

from the station to the station,-

the' ball is wise, well-taught and patient.

keeping th' ball too high or low,

so it could easier go,

round, famous, big or small,-

to prevent the others fall.

move the ball with smiles or chuckles,

trott like geese or hens, or ducklings,

hurl the ball, pretend to toil,

try to catch it or avoid.

roll the ball as it knows more,

keep it safe from the door.

be an actor - th' ball is a hero,-

till the time you are a zero.
