I shouted you were deaf
whilst smiling
you were massacring my soul
And leaves then dried
and seas then burst open
and nothing else could I do
but rise and leave.
Don’t forget,
I’ve always been told,
we all must pay something
for something we get
I alone seem to be able
of giving all
for nothing in change
and fill my life
with something I can see
but not touch.
Each one of us
has his own peculiar talents
and you and I know
that I’m not lying.
